Interview with the creator of this site

👋 I got the chance to interview @anton the other day, via iMessage of course. I re-post to give newcomers a chance to read it. > https://public.me/andreas/ac32b5b8-1edc-457b-a5b0-c7f63f8f87d4 #publicme

Saturday in the gym

Missed the fight this early morning because major problems with Netflix. Went to the gym. Checked out the changelog page for PM and got to try the email notification. Hi @anton
>https://public.me/anton/07c782eb-9a30-4c7b-a975-ca476bd96a2d @anton, Awesome! and ofc. I really like how you approach this area of software. Uncharted territory imo. Glad to help even a bit so you can keep hacking. Just grabbed an annual sub and did a one time contribution. btw, great ux so far! 😊 super fun.
@anton, is there a monthly subscription option to support development of public.me? otherwise, I’d love to do a one time donation. just let me know where to send!
really excited to try out this lil site. i predict great things ☺️ good job @anton
>https://public.me/grantmuller/81ee6a25-0ddc-461f-9ff7-1957d4cfa66f Thanks @grantmuller, I’ll be sure to follow you when that feature gets added, I know it’s coming. I think self posts with a mention like this one will be as close as we get to replies, unless @anton can cook up some more magic.
I have been thinking about the same topic that @anton mentions in his post here https://public.me/anton/91217c64-1e48-41d1-80c5-0b72df029011 My own lifelong contrarian nature feels like its folding in on itself, as I see contrarianism become normal behavior, and the fringe becomes the mainstream (which you can plainly see in the most recent US election). When the opposite of widely held ideas just becomes the new widely held idea… well then you have a problem, because it’s unlikely to be true as well.

Tagging myself @anton. Because I need to implement notifications
Thanks @anton for this nice blog service, I’m loving it so far ! #publicme
The development of this nice blog service is going fast. Mentions is now live. Thanks @anton Great stuff I agree on what @matthewcabin wrote. Public.me is fun.
This app (service?) is so cool and feels like old internet (simple, microblogging) mixed with new-ish tech (iMessage) I never posted on Twitter, and rarely post on Threads, but I feel compelled to post here every day and that feeling grows more and more. I love it, thank you 🙏@anton
@anton threads yes and replying to others — and ability to edit messages on the web since iMessage has a time limit?

How did I know about public.me?

This comes from another amazing project by @anton - Montaigne https://montaigne.io (a blog built with Apple Notes). I received an email last Sunday announcing the launch of the microblogging platform public.me, it allows people to have microblog using iMessage, so I quickly decided to give it a try. Since it’s still in its very early version, I encountered some difficulties during registration, but Anton is a very nice guy and helped me get registered smoothly. I will post some personal nagging here, just like my X, haha.🤣

A post with a headline

Just learnt from @anton that iMessage supports subjects. Looks nice. 👍
