My co-worker always gives me a ride home from work. Last week he talked about how he thinks Google Maps selects not the fastest route for drivers but rather an optimized one based on the traffic capacity. In other words, shortcuts are not always the routes that can handle the most traffic load. If the app always showed users the fastest routes to the same destinations, these shortcuts would be congested quickly and no longer ideal. I think this is why shortcuts are meant to be less traveled?
It’s been a while since I started learning webflow. Redesigning my personal website using webflow has been a big project, and the learning curve is something that always intimidates me. Web design could be simple, as long as the information is communicated successfully. But in today’s context, information is not just about content but also approach—it’s the HOW when you deliver WHAT—both are important. But I still think, even with these variables getting added layer by layer in today’s formula of digital design, there’s a way to keep things simple, to make things simple.
