A late afternoon shot as one of the ewes had a drink.
Off sheep dipping today. Primarily to get footage for #farm24 but also to do farming stuff.

I saw three baby red legged partridges this morning. Together with their Mum they were hanging out in the chicken run. It was the first time I'd seen them. Before I got the hens up I wanted to move them out of the run. Fortunately, after a little dash around, they flew over the hedge and into the paddock. A lovely sight today.

Very happy to see the blackberries are ready!
Feeling the need to pare back online. Regrouping, deleting, simplifying.
We’re pretty much at the end of lambing now - until mid April when we start with batch two. One ewe left to lamb. All of the other ewes and their lambs were going out into the field today. Muffin will be back at the farm this weekend now that he’s mastered his bottle - and how! He’ll have his own milk bar setup so that he can help himself.
I deleted my X account this week. Apart from the time wasted doom scrolling, X wasn’t adding to the sum total of happiness in my life. I’m feeling a need to pare back on what doesn’t bring me joy.

A twin and Mum. The most recent arrivals. Only one more ewe to lamb.

This is Muffin. He’s currently living in my potting shed! He needs some extra TLC and bottle feeding.
We’ve had a busy few days with lambing and having family visiting. More lambs have been arriving. I think we’re on the home stretch now.

Lambing is well and truly underway. I’ve delivered my first lamb of the season. My pal, Dot Dot, is back. She remembered me. We’ve been chatting. Lots of new lambs have arrived. I’m back in my lambing routine.

First sighting of snowdrops at the farm, in the orchard.
Snow today - not too much. Very grey and overcast but rain expected so should wash away the snow. Counting down to the start of lambing. Literally any day now!
