@anton inquired that I should share some of the ways I use Apple Shortcuts. One of my most common uses is one I have tied to my action button (before I had one it was a widget on the Lock Screen) It creates a memo in Notes with “in the moment” information Screenshot above, I’ll share my Routine Hub page once I get it setup in case anyone else wants to check out shortcuts like this one

Okay, I have realized that wanting to learn a new skill is actually being afraid of using one I already know; writing. I’ve been holding onto an idea for a novel for about 17 years now. I’ve had a 100s of false starts, a million excuses and self-imposed road blocks. The world is in a place of uncertainty and it’s a bleak thought that art and creativity is being eked out by computers and a general carelessness for our own brains. Will my mark on the world be significant, or will it be a mote of dust drifting in the slipstream? Doesn’t matter, all that matters is that I did it. Time to just do it, to shit or get off the pot.

An introduction

Since this is quickly becoming my most used social media, I would like to introduce myself. I’m a musician taking a long hiatus while I work as a consultant in the data industry. I am exceptionally passionate about music and food, and will enjoy or debate those topics with fervor. I was invested in discussing and learning about politics, but something changed recently and I’ve lost my enthusiasm. I do yoga (poorly), try not to eat a lot of meat, and love my significant other with my whole heart. I am a voracious learner, and will listen to anyone who wants to share their passion with me.
